"The Rite/Ayin" is a film that tells the story of Michael Kovak (Colin O'Donoghue), a theology student sent to the Vatican to study exorcism rituals, despite his doubts about the practice and his own faith. Inspired by true events, the film explores Michael's journey as he questions his beliefs and challenges the notion that demonic possessions are actually psychiatric in nature.

Michael, who shields himself with skepticism, defies his superiors by suggesting that the cases of possession are rooted in psychological elements rather than demonic forces. However, when he is assigned to work alongside Father Lucas (Anthony Hopkins), a renowned exorcist known for his unconventional methods and numerous successful exorcisms, Michael's armor begins to crack. As they encounter a case that even Father Lucas is unable to handle, Michael witnesses a terrifying and inexplicable evil that shakes his core beliefs and forces him to question everything he holds true.

Directed by Mikaël Hafstrom, "The Rite/Ayin" stars Oscar-winning actor Anthony Hopkins, Colin O'Donoghue in his first leading role, Alice Braga, Toby Jones, Ciarán Hinds, and Rutger Hauer.
