Quentin Dupieux, the filmmaker who pushed the boundaries of reality in his previous works "Rubber" and "Wrong," presented the first screening of his new film at the Directors' Fortnight section of the Cannes Film Festival. The film introduces us to the peculiar anti-hero Georges, a disturbed and obsessive psychopath who never takes off his leather jacket. Georges, who wants his leather jacket to remain the only one in the world and even talks to it, easily succumbs to madness. Starting off as a cunning dark comedy, "Leather Jacket" follows Dupieux's signature style of featuring bizarre characters and improbable situations, leading us down a path of unpredictable absurdity, ultimately transforming into a creative prank and a snuff murder film.
